Billy Graham Edited

I just read this article about Billy Graham on MSNBC from Newsweek. It is pretty interesting to me that the article reveals more about the theology of the writer of the article than about the theology of Billy Graham. I don't want to say that author is forcing words into his mouth, but perhaps trying to make him palatable for the universalist mindset. I'm afraid to say more.

I think the article does a good job of presenting his age. I think readers need to keep in mind that his mind is slipping in some areas and cannot be relied upon all the time. In some ways it is as if he is already gone. I agree that the universalist views are a little heavy handed here, but the takeaway I get from this article is: He's getting really really old.
There are certain things the aging population should not participate in, such as driving. And in this case spearheading any more giant ministries that require more than you can give of yourself. My husband thinks Billy Graham is of Satan because of his ties to the Jesuits and free masons and whatnot. I agree that he does compromise the truth and I wouldn't attend his meetings or drag anybody else with me. I'm at the point where I just don't take him seriously as a leader- as a person, yes- but not as a spiritual authority, much like I don't take driving lessons from my grandparents.
